iGaming was never really on my radar, but when it happened, I was in-between jobs and was approached to join this new gaming company. The fact that it was a start-up was really appealing. I started off as an HR Generalist, and within a year, I made the move into Customer Support as a Team Leader.

Why the move? Working as a Team Leader draws on all my HR skills. I like to recognise people’s strengths and work with them to develop their skills. So when the time comes, they will be ready to move on. I take a real pride in seeing members of my team getting promoted or moving across the business into different departments. That is really satisfying.

That’s why I think Customer Support is such a great place to start a career. You get to see and understand so much of the business – it really does give you a platform for the future.

“My advice to anyone looking to get into iGaming would be to get as familiar as possible with the industry. Keep in mind that you have to start from somewhere and usually a good, first stepping stone is working in customer support.”
